A fusion music evening where class and modern oriental music meets western jazz; this is a concert that should never be missed. Master Guo Gan, erhu master from the movie Kung Fu Panda 3 and the recipient of the 2015 Medalist of the Knights in French Literature and Arts, will bring us to his musical world of the New Silk Road, where we replace ancient camels with modern airplane travel. Bring musicians and their musical roots together, the evening concert will give you such a surprise that you would never imagine. Guo Gan is from Paris France with his roots from the city of Sheng Yang in Northern Eastern China. Park Stickney from Switzerland with his American background will bring us his style from his home state of Arizona and Brooklyn, where he attempts to simultaneously live. Jessica Yuen, our Hong Kong-born local Calgary musician, will fuse the European musicians together at the concert. The concert also includes several world premier original compositions from Master Guo with our local Viva Musica Youth Choir, fusion arrangement with tango dancers from Calgary Tango, and other guest local musicians.

这是个融合了西方爵士乐和现代东方音乐的晚会，是一场不容错过的音乐盛宴。电影《功夫熊猫3》的二胡配乐、2015年法国文学艺术骑士勋章的获得者—-国际二胡大师果敢，将带我们一起探索他的音乐丝绸之路，只不过这次的音乐之旅，我们用现在交通工具飞机取代了古代的驼队。音乐家的友谊与音符相连，给您前所未有的听觉与视觉感官。果敢出生于中国的东北部城市沈阳，现旅居法国；帕克斯蒂克尼来自美国，他会带来家乡亚利桑那州和布鲁克林市的音乐，这是他常居住的两个地方。我们在香港出生的卡里加尔本地音乐家Jessica Yuen通过这场音乐会将欧洲的音乐家聚集一起，演出内容十分丰富，有二胡大师果敢的经典原创作品、卡尔加里Viva Musica青年合唱团、卡尔加里探戈舞团、以及来自本地的嘉宾音乐家
